Description:
Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is a naturally derived thickening agent extracted from the cellulose of pine and spruce trees. It is widely used to improve texture, consistency, and stability in personal care products, household cleaners, and lubricants. Ideal for creams, body butters, shampoos, conditioners, lip masks, and clear serums.
Solubility:
Soluble in water, ethanol, and acetone; insoluble in oils.
Usage Rate:
0.5% – 3%
Applications:
