Description:
Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) is a pale, viscous, coconut-derived amphoteric surfactant produced from coconut oil and dimethylaminopropylamine. Known for its excellent foaming ability, mild cleansing action, and compatibility with other surfactants, it is widely used in personal care formulations. It enhances foam density, improves viscosity, reduces irritation, and provides mild conditioning benefits for both skin and hair.
Solubility:
Soluble in water, ethanol, and isopropanol; insoluble in mineral oil.
Recommended pH Range:
5.0 – 6.0
